I have been here numerous times over the years. I came here after football game. The parking lot was not full but inside was packed! We were quoted 50 min for a table, it took about 20 min until we were texted then seated.
They have a full service bar. This place has lots of old license plates up in the rafters and MSU memoribilia on the walls. Its a great place to take your parents or alumni for a meal.
My go to here is the chicken flautas. You get 4 rolled tortillad filled with spicy chicken and topped with melted cheese. One side of the plate has refried beans, the other spanish rice. I thought the rice was overdone and mushy. My friend had half a French dip with a cup of white chicken chili.  I really like their white chicken chili, highly recommended!
We had excellent service!! Our waitress was Emily and she is very nice and attentive!!

Harrison Roadhouse is conveniently off of E. Michigan Ave so I didn't have to do any hunting to find the place. A few yards away is the Roadhouse Pup which is part of the same establishment but opens later and food service has to be ordered from the Roadhouse. The private parking lot is a bonus since most of the businesses near campus only have metered street parking.

The dark wood furnishing and the stained glass windows are not what I expect from a campus restaurant. Harrison Roadhouse has a neat history of being converted from a Shell gas station so the main bar area has an over-the-road theme but really needs an update. Speaking of which, the throwback sports memorabilia photos are interesting to look at for about 20 seconds. Nothing stands out here; the décor all blends together for an unmemorable dining experience. The bathrooms don't match the rest of the building at all and have framed CQ magazine cover photos above each stall. Odd.

I don't drink fancy beer but this seems like a place for IPA beer drinkers. There is a front and back menu for the seasonal craft beers on tap and a separate menu for mixed drinks. A small mug (16oz, I believe) of domestic beer costs $4.75! The food menu boldly stated that their Crab Rangoons have been a house specialty for over 30 years so I got a half order (3 pieces for $5.49) with the house-made "Happy" sauce that tasted like an orange peel soaked in water. I also ordered the Pesto Grilled Cheese for $9.29 (surprisingly not actually grilled) which was pretty much cheese, spinach, and a tomato with pesto on the bread. The food is just as boring as the décor.

Met here for lunch with friends.  I had previously checked out the photos, other reviews, and the menu on their website.  From my first look as we pulled into their private lot it appeared to be a typical pub style restaurant.  We walked in and were seated quickly as it wasn't busy yet for lunch.  We had been looking at a seafood restaurant but made a last minute change to Harrison Roadhouse.

Since I had been thinking about A seafood I looked over the menu and found Fish & Chips that came with Coleslaw and Tartar Sauce plus I added Clam Chowder for an extra $2.99 with my entree.  My wife ordered the Avocado Chicken Sandwich and chose Onion Rings from a list of sides our server recited.  For drinks I had Diet Coke and my wife chose water which were soon delivered to the table.

The Clam Chowder came out next and it was hot and excellent with an adequate number of clams.  Then came the entrees.  My wife's Sandwich was delicious and the Onion Rings were crunchy and tasty.  My Fish & Chips had four decent sized pieces of hand battered Cod filets.  They were hot and crisp with an impressive portion size of Chips (Fries) and Coleslaw.  We ended up taking half of the Sandwich and one of the Cod filets home.

On the negative side our server did not check up on us for drink refills or anything until we were essentially done eating.  And she did not mention that some of the sides, including the Onion Rings, were for an additional charge. It does say that on the menu but my wife wasn't aware that her order came with a side so she just picked one from those our server mentioned.

Did not have a good experience this evening. The staff was inattentive and the restaurant was not clean. My son liked his sandwich, mine was OK but my wife's chicken sandwich was undercooked, actually pink inside. We would have sent it back but the waiter was nowhere to be found.
    Will not be returning.

Decent food for the price. Friendly student service even on game day and very pleasant outdoor atmosphere especially when weather is nice.
